Tips to get rid of negativity by positive self-talk


Self-Talk is an act of talking to oneself either silently, or loudly. It has a huge impact on our thinking process. It impacts our self-esteem and self-image. Positive self-talk makes you feel good about what is happening in your life and whereas negative self-talk makes you feel miserable and can also, impact your mental health.

Here are tips on how to get rid of negativity by positive self-talk:

Identify your negative thoughts

Observe your negative thoughts. You know that the results of negative things only make your life miserable.  Before you can begin to develop more positive thinking in your life, you must first become aware of having negative thoughts in the first place. Once you do this, you can then take the necessary actions to eliminate negative thoughts running in your head.

Replace negative thoughts with a positive one

Every the time you become aware you're having a negative thought try and erase it from your mind and replace it with a positive one. For instance, when you have thought saying 'I can't do this task’ change it by saying something like 'I'm going to face this challenge and do it to the best of my ability'. This is how you easily boost your self-esteem.

Positive Affirmations

Positive affirmations are very helpful in changing your thoughts and beliefs. Repeating positive affirmations on a daily basis will help you to create new and inspiring thoughts.
Some examples of positive affirmations are:
- I am becoming better every day
- I deserve to be happy
- I have faith in myself
- I have faith in my ability to succeed
- I love challenges and embrace them
